NM i Salsa 2018

For 5. gang ønsker OSI Dans og Norges Danseforbund velkommen til NM i salsa 2018!

Vi sparker i gang Nordic Salsa Experience med NM i Salsa på fredagen så her har du en fullspekket helg med konkurranse og workshops i verdensklasse!

Påmelding og betaling

Deltagere

For påmelding og betaling, fyll ut skjema (ett skjema pr. par). Husk å trykke "Legg til partner"!

Det koster 150 kr pr pers for å delta, og hvis du ønsker å delta i flere klasser koster det 50 kr pr. pers. utover dette for tilleggsklasser.

Det du trenger å gjøre:

  1. Melde deg inn i en klubb som er medlem av ND (OSI Dans er medlem av ND) hvis du ikke allerede er det.
  2. Fylle ut påmeldingsskjema.
  3. Betale påmeldingsavgiften.
Danseklubb

For å kunne delta må du være medlem av en danseklubb tilknyttet Norges Danseforbund (ND). Et forslag er Tønsberg Salsaklubb.

Publikum

Publikum: 50,- (kan forhåndskjøpes på nett).

Man kan også kjøpe billetter i døren, men må beregne noe ventetid i kø. Vi tar kort eller Vipps, men oppfordrer til å kjøpe på nett/Vipps for å unngå kø.

Klasser

Det vil bli konkurrert i to kategorier:

  • Cubansk.
  • Linjestil.

Hver kategori har 4 klasser:

  • Profesjonell.
  • Avansert.
  • Videregående.
  • Senior.
    • Kravet for senior er at minst den ene i paret er minst 40 år, men det er ikke dermed sagt at man må delta i senior om man er 40+.

Det er lov å delta i både linjestil og cubansk og det vil bli finalerunde i hver klasse.

Konkurranselisens

  1. Førstegangsstartende: GRATIS (hvis du aldri har deltatt i en konkurranse under ND tidligere).
  2. Engangslisens: 75 kr. pr. pers. (for dem som har deltatt på konkurranser under ND tidligere, men som bare deltar på et fåtalls konkurranser. Betales med Vipps på konkurransedagen).

Konkurransereglement

  1. Arrangørens musikk benyttes under de innledende rundene (heats), mens i finalen kan konkurrentene velge mellom egen låt eller en tilfeldig låt som arrangør setter på.
  2. Til å starte med skal alle par ut på gulvet samtidig og danse sammen i 1 minutt som oppvarming (ingen dømming). Alle runder unntatt finalen skal vare i 1:30 minutter. I finalen skal musikken vare mellom 2 min og 2 min, 15 sek.
  3. Musikkens hastighet vil variere fra 170 bpm (moderat) til 215 bpm (hurtig).
  4. Etter oppvarmingsrunden blir man fordelt i forskjellige 'heats'/innledende runder hvor man gjerne danser 3-4 par i hver heat. Etter disse innledende rundene går man videre til semifinalen, og 3 par går til finalen hvor ett og ett par danser på gulvet av gangen. 
  5. Løft over skulderhøyde er bare tillatt i finalerunder. Akrobatiske variasjoner dømmes på lik linje som en hvilken som helst annen ikke-akrobatisk variasjon/trinn.
  6. Mesteparten av tiden skal det danses med hold og ikke solo. (Det er altså lov å ha noen sekvenser med solodansing.)

Bedømming

  1. Tolkning av musikken.
    • Timing, frasering, variasjoner i dansernes rytme. 
  2. Kunstnerisk utførelse, kjemi og forbindelse mellom danserne og med publikum.
  3. Tekniske ferdigheter.
  4. Vanskelighetsgrad.

Norwegian Championships in Salsa 2018

For the 5th time, OSI Dans and the Norwegian Dance Federation (Norges Danseforbund) wish you welcome to the Norwegian Championships in Salsa 2018!

We are kicking off Nordic Salsa Experience with the championships on Friday, so you have a full weekend with competition and world-class workshops!

Registration and payment

Participants

For registration and payment, complete the form (one form per pair). Remember to mark "Legg til partner"!

It costs 150 NOK per person to participate, and if you wish to participate in several classes, it costs 50 NOK per person beyond this for additional classes.

What you need to do:

  1. Sign up for a club that is a member of ND (OSI Dans is a member of ND) if you are not already.
  2. Fill out the registration form.
  3. Pay the registration fee.
Dance club

To participate, you must be a member of a dance club associated with the Norwegian Dance Federation (ND). One suggestion is Tønsberg Salsaklubb. You can also contact ND and they will be able to help you: annecathrine@danseforbundet.no

Audience

Audience: 50 NOK (can be pre-purchased online).

You can also buy tickets in the door, but have to anticipate any waiting time in line. We take cards or Vipps, but urge to buy online/Vipps to avoid the queue. (NB! Not included in the Nordic Festival Passes as this is an external event. Check it out: http://salsanordic.com/).

Classes

The competition will take place in the following two categories:

  • Cuban.
  • Line style.

Each category has 4 classes:

  • Professional.
  • Advanced.
  • Improvers.
  • Senior.
    • The requirement for senior is that at least one in the couple is at least 40 years old, but it is not said that you must participate in senior even if you are 40+.

Couples are allowed to participate in both line style and Cuban and there will be finals in each class.

Competition License

  1. First timers: Free (if you have never participated in a competition connected to ND before)
  2. One-time license: 75 NOK pr. pers. (for those who have participated in a few competitions connected to ND before. (Payed with Vipps on the competition day).

  1. The organizer's music is used during the initial heats, while in the final the competitors can choose between their own song or a random song that the organizer puts on.
  2. To start with, every couple is going on the floor at the same time and dances together for a 1 minute warm-up (no judgment). All rounds except the final will last for 1:30 minutes. In the finals the music will last between 2 minutes and 2 minutes, 15 seconds.
  3. The music speed will vary from 170 bpm (moderate) to 215 bpm (fast).
  4. After the warm-up round, you will be divided into different heats/introductory rounds where 3-4 couples dance in each heat. After these opening rounds, competitors go to the semifinal and 3 pairs to the finals where one couple dances on the floor at a time.
  5. Lifting over shoulder height is only allowed in the final rounds. Acrobatic variations are judged similar to any other non-acrobatic variation/step.
  6. Most of the time the couples are going to dance with each other and not solo. (It is therefore allowed to have some sequences with solo dance.)

Judging

  1. Interpretation of music.
    • Timing, phrasing, variations in dance rhythm.
  2. Artistic execution, chemistry and connection between the dancers and the audience.
  3. Technical skills.
  4. Degree of difficulty.
